Gameplay[]
Vanguard abilities always appear on level 1 member cards. While the specific effects of Vanguard abilities vary, all of them serve to remove your opponent's level 1 members from the front row. This ensures that players can always destroy one gate on their first attack, rather than have to contend with a wall of members.
